The Detroit Fighting Irish training aamp is finally here as the team reports today to began preparing for the 2020-2021 USPHL season. Over the past few days a group of the teams veterans including Lane Stewart, Clay Hightower, Guiseppe Pizzo and Jay Kostecke have been part of the Locker Room work crew under the supervision of Papa Joe Pizzo whom did a complete over haul to prepare the room for this years team. Rookies Nick Goldie and Stefano Mini alos lent a hand as well as Drew Wooten;
Head Coach David Taylor and his assistants Dennis Boomer and Jeremy Mcnulty , Sam Shaheen and Jacob Gorzelski have all been busy putting the final touches on this year pre season plans and are all systems go and looking with great enthusiasm to get the season going
Team Announces Partnership with Victory Gym
The Fightting Irish announced yesterday that they have entered a partnership with the Victory Gym in Brownstown to facilitate the teams off ice weight training and conditioning programs. The facility which is a training and wwllness facility for US Veterans and first responders has been part of our program for several years we are very happy to be able to continue our relationship and look forward to our players and staff also being able to assist in volunteer opportunities for these real time hero's it is an honor Stated Irish Owners Mark and Lisa Cruz.
